Landscapes were my first love in photography. As I travel the American west, I can’t help but be inspired by the scenery. One nice thing about studying geology, is that it takes you to places of simple grandeur.
When shooting landscapes, I try to avoid the iconic images that everyone has seen. There is more than enough stuff to see, why limit your focus.
While I have focused on wildlife and sports photography in the last ten years, I always have my eyes open to the landscape. An interesting shot is always there.
You may notice that some of these shots aren’t technically landscapes, oh well.
